Students at five ACT public schools can access free meals through the ACT Government’s Meals in Schools program.
Students can enjoy free breakfasts and lunches three days a week during school terms.
The program is part of 2025–26 ACT Budget funding.
It runs at:
- Narrabundah Early Childhood School
- Gilmore Primary School
- Richardson Primary School
- Gold Creek School (senior campus – years 7 to 10)
- Melba Copland Secondary School (College campus only – years 10 to 12).
Meals include ‘grab and go’ options such as sandwiches and wraps, fresh fruit and vegetables, and shelf-stable options like muesli bars and UHT milk.
Participating school communities will receive menus outlining the food on offer to students for each term.
