Fencing around the Acton Waterfront site has been removed temporarily so that locals and visitors can make use of this new lakeside space until the next phase of building Ngamawari commences in early 2026.
The area is looking a lot greener with the addition of freshly laid turf and sprayed native wild grass seed.

The Canberra community can make use of this space in 2025 while we continue work on the future park, Ngamawari. It will allow time for reclaimed land to settle and form a structurally sound base before more permanent structures can be installed from early 2026.
This is an exciting stage in the development and one we hope neighbours and the broader Canberra community will enjoy.
