Placemaking Grant recipients announced: Four exciting new projects set to ignite the City Centre and Braddon
Get ready, Canberra! We’re excited to unveil four placemaking initiatives that are about to redefine how we experience our city’s places and spaces. From sustainable urban escapes to high-tech nature explorations, these provide a future glimpse of Canberra's City Centre.
“The Placemaking Grants program is a catalyst for innovation and urban transformation in our City Centre, and it’s made possible by commercial property owners’ contributions.” said CEO Malcolm Snow.
"These projects are set to not only attract people to the heart of the city but also shape the community’s connection with it.”
The recently updated Placemaking Grants program is closely aligned with the City Renewal Authority's 2025 Strategic Plan and objectives of the City Centre Marketing and Improvements Levy (CCMIL).
“Our dream is to make Canberra's City Centre and Braddon so irresistible that you'll want to work, live, and play here. We're talking comfort, safety, cleanliness, and a whole lot of fun—all wrapped up in a design-led, people-focused approach.” said Creative Director Patrick Rose.
