Stephanie Alexander Kitchen Garden Foundation

A fee-based program, with school memberships starting at $330. The Kitchen Garden Program is a hands-on learning program delivering food education. It provides curriculum integration and a focus on student wellbeing, collaboration and leadership.

Students learn to grow, harvest, prepare and share fresh, seasonal food – forming positive food habits for life.

Primary Connections

A primary school science program from the Australian Academy of Science, aiming to enhance primary school teachers' confidence and competence for teaching science. The Watch it Grow! and Plants in Action! units aim to create a sense of wonder in students and an appreciation of plants as they investigate the process of germination, the stages in a plant’s life cycle and the things plants need for growth.

ACT Nutrition Support Service

A website with recipes that are easy to prepare, budget friendly, and suitable for school and home.

They also offer a range of fee-based services  including student incursions and cooking workshops, parent stalls and workshops and training for teachers.

I'm Alert Food Safety training

A free 2-hour online food safety training package that provides a basic understanding of safe food handling practices to do cooking with students at school. A certificate is issued on completion of training.
