Food&ME Preschool and Food&ME Kindergarten – Year 6

Food&ME Preschool and Food&ME Kindergarten – Year 6 online courses provide practical ideas to support the delivery of nutrition education in the classroom. Each course will take a minimum of two hours and is accredited by the ACT Teacher Quality Institute.

Food&ME downloadable classroom resources

Food&ME resources are nutrition education resources that are linked to the Australian Curriculum and align with the Australian Dietary Guidelines.

Each unit of work includes lesson plans, teaching slides and assessment tasks.

Thrive: mind, body, world

A two hour online professional learning course and curriculum-aligned resources are currently being developed. They will support primary school educators deliver lessons about the links between nutrition, mental health, and environmental sustainability.

Cooking and growing teaching resources

There are lots of resources available to support growing and cooking lessons with students. These can help students understand positive nutrition, foster respect for the environment, and stimulate social interaction and communication skills. They provide a great opportunity to be active too!
