The latest ACT Infrastructure Plan update sets out a long-term vision for Canberra’s transport future.

The ACT Government has released the ACT Infrastructure Plan Update: Transport.

This latest update to the Plan outlines the Government’s investment in a transport system to support a growing Canberra, on track to reach 500,000 people by 2027.

It includes a range of measures to make it easier for Canberrans to get from A to B, by:

  • foot
  • bicycle
  • car
  • bus
  • light rail.

This includes the extension of the light rail network through the city, on its way to Woden.

Other initiatives include the Garden City and Kingston Cycleways and the Molonglo River Bridge.

There are also road upgrades right across Canberra.

The Plan presents the ACT Government’s vision of a transport system that supports a liveable, sustainable and connected city with flexible, reliable journey options.
