Whether it’s two-for-one burgers or a cheap schnitty, who doesn’t love a good food deal?
We asked Canberrans on the We Are CBR Instagram page to tell us about the best weekly meal specials across the capital. So, bookmark or screenshot this list, for it is now your guide to eating out for less.
All week deals
- Cafe Momo – $12 medium coffee with your choice of bacon & egg roll or ham & cheese croissant
- Dickson Tradies – $15 bacon and egg roll with a small coffee
- Dolly’s – $14 sausage & egg muffin (until 11:45 am)
- Lanyon Vikings Club - $10 coffee and cake
- Zest at Raiders Gungahlin – $16 to $22 lunches including steak, schnitzel, fish, wings and curry.
Weekdays
- The Alby – $22.50 lunch deals (12 pm to 2:30pm)
- The District – $35 porterhouse steak with fries and salad or $25 chicken schnitzel
- Hellenic Club City – $15 or less lunch specials (12 pm to 2:30 pm)
- Indo Cafe – $10 lunch specials – rice, curry, entree and a drink
- Kambah Inn – $7 bacon and egg roll or wrap (7 am to 11am)
- Lanyon Vikings – $15 lunches (from 12pm to 2pm)
- Natural Nine – $15 Chop Chop lunch with a soft drink (only Monday – Thursday 12 pm to 2 pm)
- The Old Canberra Inn – $18 lunch specials (only Monday – Thursday 12 pm to 3 pm)
- The RUC – $15 lunch specials (12 pm to 2 pm)
- Turkish Pide House Woden – $20 takeaway lunch boxes with a drink.
Mondays
- Ainslie Football Club - kids eat free with every full-priced adult meal (5:30 pm to 8:30pm)
- The Alby – 2 for 1 pizza night
- Casey Jones Pub – one free kids' meal with any main meal (from 5 pm)
- The Denman Kitchen – $25 for specials board meal and a drink
- Dolly’s – $15 for 2 chicken tacos
- The District – $20 selected pizza and pasta (from 5 pm)
- Edgar’s – free house drink with your choice of burger: beef, chicken or veg (from 5:30 pm)
- Kambah Inn – $25 rump steaks with a free beverage (from 11am)
- Lanyon Vikings – $15 schnitzel (5:30 pm to 9 pm)
- Lighthouse Belconnen - $25 for a 250g rump steak with your choice of sides and a schooner of any tap beer
- The RUC Turner – $18 rump steak, chips and a salad
- Zest at Raiders Gungahlin – 'Seafood Tuesday' specials start at $15
Tuesdays
- 3rd Space – 2 for $40 selected pizzas
- The Alby – $25 burger with a beer or wine & kids eat free with any main meal purchase
- Amici – $25 pp bottomless pasta (bookings required)
- Central Social Club – $18 pizzas
- The Denman Kitchen – $25 for steak and a drink
- The District – $22 burger and fries
- Dolly's - $15 chicken schnitzel with slaw, fries and your choice of sauce
- Edgars – $30 steak with a free house wine, beer or soft drink
- Hellenic Club in the City – $16.90 pizzas
- Kambah Inn – $17 schnitzel with chips and salad (11 am to 8:30 pm)
- Lanyon Vikings Club - $15 rump steak with your choice of sides and sauce (5:30 pm to 9 pm)
- Loquita - $4 tacos (5 - 9 pm)
- The RUC – $18 chicken schnitzel, chips and salad (from 5pm).
Wednesdays
- Ainslie Football Club – $20 steak night
- The Alby – $25 schnitty with a wine or beer
- Central Social Club – $18 burgers
- The Denman Kitchen – $25 for a burger and drink

- Dolly’s – $15 smash burger
- Edgars – $25 schnitzels with a free house beer, wine or soft drink
- Old Canberra Inn – $19 chicken schnitzel or eggplant parmi served with chips or salad (nights only)
- The RUC – $18 burgers (from 5pm)
- Zest at Raiders Gungahlin – $17 chicken schnitzels with your choice of sides & sauce (11:30am to 2 pm then 5 pm to 9 pm).
Thursdays
- Ainslie Football Club – $17 chicken schnitzels
- The Denman Kitchen – $25 for a schnitzel and a drink
- The District – $25 schnitzel, fries and salad
- Dolly’s – $15 for 1/2 kg wings and a drink
- Hellenic Club City – $14.90 burgers, chips and onion rings
- Kambah Inn – $19 rump steak $24 scotch fillet with chips and salad
- Wakefields - a free glass of wine with any pasta.
Fridays
- The Alby – $20 lunch specials including schnitzel, tacos, kebabs, lasagne and more
- Assembly the People’s Pub - $20 for half dozen fresh oysters, or for $60 with a bottle of prosecco (4 pm to 7 pm)
- Hellenic Club City – $14.90 burgers, chips and onion rings
- PJs in the City – $12 meatlovers, vegetarian or supreme pizzas (3 - 5 pm).
Saturdays
- The Alby – $20 lunch specials including schnitzel, tacos, kebabs, lasagne and more
- Dickson Tradies – $18 roast lunch
- Fenway Public House – 20% off all main meals
- Mawson Club – $18 lunch specials
- UC Bar x – buy any pizza and get a free drink
- Weston Creek Labor Club – complimentary kids meal with any full priced main meal (dinner only).
Sundays
- Ainslie Football Club – $18 or $23 (for non-members) roast of lamb, beef, pork or chicken with roast veggies, potatoes, yorkshire pudding & gravy
- The Denman Kitchen - all children eat half price
- The District – $20 fish, fries and salad | Kids eat half price
- Edgar’s – $27 roast with sides with a free beer, house wine or soft drink
- Mawson Club – $18 lunch specials
