Canberra’s national and international travel links continue to expand.

Canberrans can now fly to more destinations, as the city's aviation network continues to expand.

New domestic and international services announced in recent months will make it easier to travel to and from Canberra.

What's new?

Link Airways has announced the return of direct seasonal services between Canberra and Coffs Harbour from Thursday 10 September 2026. The route will operate on Friday and Sunday each week through to January 2027.

Qatar Airways will be offering flights from Canberra Airport once again from 8 December. The airline will initially operate four services per week from Canberra before increasing to daily services from March 2027.

Virgin Australia has launched direct flights to Bali, Indonesia from Canberra Airport. The new route will operate three return flights per week.

Link Airways has launched direct flights between Canberra and Launceston, operating four days a week and strengthening the link to northern Tasmania.

The new service makes getting to northern Tasmania quicker and easier, whether you’re travelling for work, a short break or to see family.

It also opens the door for more Tasmanian visitors to discover Canberra.

In January 2026, Jetstar announced an upgrade to its Brisbane service, introducing the new A320 aircraft which adds up to 52 extra seats per flight.

Flights to Doha, Qatar, have also expanded international travel options, giving residents access to destinations around the world.

Canberrans planning international travel are encouraged to check the Smart Traveller website for the latest advice, particularly in relation to the conflict in the Middle East.

Australian locations

Qantas, Virgin, Jetstar, Fly Pelican and Link Airways all fly from Canberra Airport.

Daily domestic flights are offered to:

  • Brisbane
  • Melbourne
  • Sydney

You can also fly directly from Canberra to:

  • Adelaide
  • Coffs Harbour
  • Darwin
  • Gold Coast
  • Hobart
  • Launceston
  • Newcastle
  • Perth.

International destinations

You can now travel globally from Canberra Airport with direct flights to:

  • Bali with Virgin Australia
  • Nadi, Fiji with Fiji Airways.

From Nadi, enjoy connections to major international destinations including:

  • Dallas
  • San Francisco
  • Los Angeles
  • Vancouver
  • Singapore
  • Hong Kong
  • Tokyo

You can also fly to Doha with Qatar Airways via Sydney or Melbourne. From Doha, travellers can access more than 170 locations across the Qatar Airways global network, including Europe and the Middle East.
