The City Renewal Authority is calling for Ngunnawal creatives to take part in a workshop on public art for the Acton Waterfront park in Canberra.
The Acton Waterfront is being developed on the land and river Country of the Ngunnawal people. Your culture, knowledge and stories will be a vital part of the final design.
The site offers several key locations where stories and knowledge can be shared through some form of public art, and we want to work with Ngunnawal people to develop these artworks.
We’re running a three-day professional development workshop for up to eight creative Ngunnawal individuals to collaborate with curators and facilitators on public art design concepts.
For more information on the Acton Waterfront project and public consultation outcomes, visit https://yoursayconversations.act.gov.au/acton-waterfront
Artists will be paid $500 per day for their involvement.
There are eight places available for individuals at the workshop. Please note, we support collaborations where children, elders or established artists combine to make a submission.
To register your interest in being selected, artists are invited to submit an expression of interest by 4:00pm (AEST) on Friday, 1 September 2023.
Please send the following information to us at cityrenewal@act.gov.au
If you need assistance in developing your submission, please contact the City Renewal Authority. We are happy to provide support.
