Nurse and Midwife Support (NM Support) is a free and confidential service supporting the health and well-being of nurses and midwives.

You can use the service if you are a nurse or midwife, nursing and midwifery student, educator, employer or concerned family member.

It is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

  • Call 1800 667 877 to speak to an experienced counsellor.
  • Go to NM Support to email a counsellor and find health information and services.

About the service

The service aims to promote better health for nurses, midwives and students and safer care for the public.

NM Support is an initiative of the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia (NMBA) initiative. It is independent of the NMBA and the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency.

The service is run by Turning Point, a leading addiction treatment, research and education organisation. They operate several telephone and online support services in Australia.
