Winter in the City returns to the city centre from 8-18 July.
The family-friendly event is free and will feature daily fire performances and circus shows.

When and where is the festival?
The event will be held from Wednesday 8 July to Saturday 18 July from 3:30 pm - 7:45 pm daily (excluding Monday 13 July).
The festival stage can be found along City Walk, at the intersection of Petrie Plaza, next to the Civic merry-go-round.
The central location also provides access to plenty of local bars and restaurants.
Do I need to get a ticket?
Winter in the City is a free non-ticketed event.
The free program of entertainment means all Canberrans can enjoy the event.
There will be a drinks stall set up for the event if attendees wish to purchase drinks.
What entertainment will there be?
A 14-metre wide temporary stage will host four performances each afternoon and evening.
Please note: There will be no shows on Monday 13 July so performers can have a well-earned rest.
The entertainment will kick off each day with an hour-long performance from Circus Oz at 3:30pm.
Circus Oz are bringing a brand-new show called ‘Here, there and everywhere’ which includes their famous comedy, clowning, acrobatics, acrobatics and more.
Attendees can enjoy free nightly fire performances. The fire performances will run for 15-minutes at:
- 5:30pm
- 6:30pm
- 7:30pm.

What food options will be available?
As the festival is hosted centrally on City Walk, festival goers can enjoy food from a variety of the surrounding local restaurants.
For those wanting to warm their tummies, a hot chocolate and marshmallow stall will be set up at the event, as well as a bar offering wine, beer, and mulled wine.

If you do plan on driving, some public car parks in the city have free parking Wednesday to Sunday from 5:30 pm to 8:30 am:
- Theatre Lane car park (opposite Sydney Building)
- City Hill car park (Section 116)
- Canberra Olympic Pool car park (City southeast)
- Hobart Place.
