New building soon to be revealed
Canberra Hospital’s new Critical Services Building will soon be revealed as scaffolding is progressively removed, unveiling the façade.
Also being removed soon are Lightning McCrane and Cranosauras, the two tower cranes that have been onsite since March 2022. These cranes were named by Garran Primary students and have almost finished their important work on the project.
In the coming months commissioning will get underway and power will be connected. This ensures all systems and equipment are working and ready for use when the new building opens.
More than 5km of high voltage electrical cable has been laid to power up this fully electric hospital building.
Look out for the new Canberra Hospital sky signage soon to be installed on the new building in coming months.
