The Business Innovation and Investment Program is a visa pathway for successful overseas businesspeople wanting to invest in Australia.

You must be nominated by a State or Territory government. Nomination triggers the visa invitation from the Department of Home Affairs.

ACT business nomination

The Australian Government has directed that ACT nominations focus on high quality applications that will have economic benefit to the ACT in the post-pandemic recovery phase. We offer ACT nomination under the following streams:

Business Innovation and Investment (provisional) subclass 188

3. Significant Investor stream
4. Entrepreneur stream
5. Business Innovation 188 extension

ACT nomination fee: $600 (non-refundable)

Average processing time: 4 to 6 weeks

Business Innovation and Investment (permanent) subclass 888

This visa lets holders of the Business Innovation and Investment (provisional) visa (subclass 188), who were nominated by the ACT government, apply for permanent residence after they have met their nomination obligations to undertake investment activity in the ACT.
