Inner South residents are invited to share their thoughts on major health and education projects in the region.

Community engagement is now open on plans to:

• build the new Inner South Health Centre
• expand and modernise Telopea Park School.

Canberrans can review these plans and share feedback throughout September.

These projects will improve education and healthcare services for the community, both now and into the future.

The Inner South Health Centre

The ACT Government will build a new health centre for the inner south.

Located in Griffith, the centre will offer a wider range of community-based health services. These will include:

• oral health
• pathology collection
• post-acute care and support
• rapid access clinics
• chronic disease management.

Its position near the Griffith shops makes it conveniently close to other services, parking and transport.

Telopea Park School

The community can also have their say on plans to expand and modernise Telopea Park School’s senior campus.

The proposed plans include:

• new specialist classrooms
• a multipurpose hall
• a double gymnasium
• more car parking spaces.

Other education facilities in the region are also being upgraded. At nearby Narrabundah College, a new Design, Arts, Technology and Science (DATS) building is progressing well and expected to be finished by the end of 2026.

Ways to give feedback

Canberrans can learn more and share their thoughts about both projects at a series of community engagement sessions during September 2026.

They can also speak directly with project experts at local pop-up sessions across the inner south.
