Children aged 6 months to under 5 years

  • General practitioners (GP) the vaccine is funded, but you may be charged a consultation fee.
  • Early Childhood Immunisation Clinics.
  • Winnunga Nimmityjah Aboriginal Health Service.

People aged 6 months and older with a medical condition that increases risk of influenza complications

  • General practitioners (GP) – funded vaccine. You may be charged a consultation fee.
  • Pharmacies – for people aged 5 years and older, government funded vaccine at participating pharmacies (a consultation fee may be charged).
  • Early Childhood Immunisation Clinics – funded vaccine for children aged 6 months to under 5 years.
  • Winnunga Nimmityjah Aboriginal Health Service – funded vaccine.

Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples aged 6 months and older

  • General practitioners (GP) – funded vaccine. You may be charged a consultation fee.
  • Pharmacies – for people aged 5 years and older, government funded vaccine at participating pharmacies (a consultation fee may be charged).
  • Early Childhood Immunisation Clinics – funded vaccine for children aged 6 months to under 5 years
  • Winnunga Nimmityjah Aboriginal Health Service – funded vaccine

Anyone pregnant

  • General practitioners (GP) – funded vaccine. You may be charged a consultation fee.
  • ACT Health Antenatal Clinics – funded vaccine.
  • Winnunga Nimmityjah Aboriginal Health Service – funded vaccine.
  • Pharmacies – government funded vaccine at participating pharmacies (a consultation fee may be charged).

People aged 65 years and older

  • General practitioners (GP) – funded vaccine. You may be charged a consultation fee.
  • Pharmacies – funded vaccine at participating pharmacies (a consultation fee may be charged).
  • Winnunga Nimmityjah Aboriginal Health Service – funded vaccine.

Anyone aged 5 years to 64 years not eligible for funded vaccine

  • General practitioners (GP) – the vaccine is not funded.
  • Participating pharmacies – the vaccine is not funded.

Anyone aged 5 years to 64 years not in any identified risk group

  • Family doctors – the vaccine is not free.
  • Pharmacies (for people aged 5 years and older) – note that the vaccine is not government funded.

You may be charged a consultation fee for the vaccine. You should check this at the time of booking.

Canberra Health Services Early Childhood Immunisation Clinics and Antenatal Clinics do not charge a fee. Call Central Health Intake 02 5124 9977 to make an appointment.
