Cabinet agreed the Government Response to the Review of ACT Health Programs – Children and young people and responses to Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder (FASD) being tabled in the ACT Legislative Assembly.

The Government Response to the Review of ACT Health Programs – Children and young people and responses to FASD addresses the wellbeing domain of health. Implementing the recommendations from the Review will positively impact children and their families in the ACT, including people with disability. The ACT Government will support improved health outcomes for young Canberrans through greater investment in mental health, focus on the health needs of children and young people in Commissioning of Health Services in the Community, and improvements in integrated care. Better integrated care will benefit children, young people and their families, and will include a co-designed Patient Navigation Service within Canberra Health Services and the consideration of the feasibility of establishing a multidisciplinary paediatric developmental service.
