Statute Law Amendment Bill 2022

Cabinet agreed the Attorney-General introduce the Statute Law Amendment Bill 2022 in the ACT Legislative Assembly. The Bill has been prepared in accordance with the technical amendments program for minor, non-controversial or technical amendments of ACT legislation. The Bill includes a minor amendment to the Territory Records Act 2002.
The Statute Law Amendment Bill 2022 will have minor positive wellbeing impacts in the governance and institutions domain and the identity and belonging domain.
Implementation and progress of MindMap - ACT Youth Navigation Portal

Cabinet agreed the Minister for Mental Health deliver a Ministerial Statement on the implementation and progress of MindMap – ACT’s Youth Navigation Portal.
It is anticipated the impact of the implementation of MindMap will improve young people’s knowledge of mental health and wellbeing supports and services available in the ACT and promote help seeking. This will lead to more young people accessing the right services and support for their mental health and wellbeing needs. MindMap will support parents and carers accessing services and supports and will also support the sector by allowing services to be aware of other services for referral purposes.

Consideration of Detailed Proposal – New ACT Ice Sports Facility

The new ice sports facility will support a range of health outcomes by providing a facility that will support diverse range of sport and recreation pursuits, including a mix of ice sport disciplines.

Justice and Community Safety Legislation Amendment Bill 2022

The Justice and Community Safety Legislation Amendment Bill 2022 (No 1) has a positive wellbeing impact on survivors of child abuse, improving governance and institutions, and strengthening access to justice by giving courts the power to set aside unjust institutional child abuse settlements and by removing limitation periods that apply to claims for damages brought by survivors of physical child abuse.

This supports the Wellbeing domain of Governance and Institutions. Procurement activities are fundamental to government accountability and transparency. A commitment to implementing recommendations made by the Auditor-General for improvements to procurement activities can help to sustain and increase the community’s confidence that procurement and public expenditure activities are responsible, reliable, have integrity, are open, and are fair.
