The 2026–27 ACT Budget will support the operation of the South Tuggeranong Health Centre being built in Conder.

Funding will ensure the new centre can provide quality health care for Tuggeranong residents.

The facility will offer a range of services with a focus on prevention, early intervention and chronic conditions.

Health care services closer to home

The funding helps ensure the centre can operate from day one, ready to deliver essential health services for those who live nearby.

The facility has been designed in consultation with the community and local clinicians to ensure it meets the needs of Tuggeranong residents, now and into the future.

Services will include:

  • Multidisciplinary community paediatric services
  • Pathology collection
  • Diabetes clinics
  • Falls and injury prevention programs
  • Community nursing
  • Multidisciplinary group programs
  • Virtual care services.

Construction underway

Construction of the South Tuggeranong Health Centre expected to be completed in October this year, with services to begin soon after.

The centre will be on the corner of Box Hill Avenue and Heidelberg Street in Conder.

The South Tuggeranong Health Centre is the first of four new health centres being delivered across the ACT.

Centres are also being planned for the Inner South, North Gungahlin and West Belconnen.
