An ACT Government Website

Quitting nicotine, whether from tobacco products or vapes is challenging because the body must get used to functioning without it.

Withdrawal symptoms can start within a matter of hours and can include:

  • cravings
  • irritability, anxiety and depression
  • restless sleep
  • eating more and putting on weight
  • trouble concentrating
  • headaches
  • coughing and sore throat
  • aches and pains

You don’t have to quit alone. You can get advice and support to help you achieve your goal every step of the way.
