Education Directorate Strategic Plan
Our Education Directorate Strategic Plan aims to make sure every student gets a great education and feels included and supported.
Summary
The Strategic Plan 2022-25 focuses on creating a school system where every student feels included, supported, and gets a high-quality education.
The plan highlights the importance of safety, wellbeing and cultural respect. It aims to make sure all students feel they belong and are treated fairly.
It builds on 2 main strategies: Set Up for Success and the Future of Education Strategy, which also aim to improve learning outcomes, school engagement and overall student wellbeing.
Our vision
Every child and young person receives an excellent education, delivered and supported by highly skilled and valued professionals.
Our mission
We lead and deliver excellent, inclusive and equitable education where all are safe, valued and able to flourish.
Focus areas
As part of the plan, we have committed to 4 focus areas. These are:
- Children and Young People: making sure every student has equitable access to high quality learning, where they are included, safe and supported.
- Our People: supporting staff to be safe, skilled, valued, and empowered.
- Community Partnerships: working with families, community, and organisations to provide a supported pathway for every child and young person.
- Systems and Supports: all parts of the education system are aligned, efficient and effective, meeting the diverse needs of all.
These focus areas support and connect the Set Up for Success and Future of Education strategies.
Each focus area has its own outcomes and measures of success.
