Construction will begin soon on the new South Tuggeranong Health Centre in Conder.
The new centre will enhance healthcare options for residents in Canberra’s south.
The health centre was designed with input from clinicians and the local community to ensure it meets their needs.
It will feature 11 consultation rooms, a flexible layout and support the delivery of services, including:
- paediatrics
- pathology collection
- dementia care
- diabetes clinics
- falls and falls injury prevention
- chronic disease programs
- a virtual care room.
The new facility is the first of four new health centres for the ACT, with another three coming to:
- Inner South
- North Gungahlin
- West Belconnen.
These centres will focus on preventive care, and advice, early intervention, and the management of chronic illnesses.
Construction is expected to be completed in August 2026. The centre is expected to open for operation in September 2026.
