Domestic Violence Prevention Council
We brought together experts from the community, police and courts to improve responses to domestic and family violence. The Council is not currently meeting.
What we do
We gave strategic advice to the ACT Government on domestic and family violence.
Representatives came from community organisations, ACT Government, ACT Police, courts and community members.
The council includes an Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Reference Group. They continue to meet and provide advice on how we can work together to reduce domestic and family violence in Canberra’s Indigenous communities.
