ACT Adult and Community Education (ACE) grants program

ACT Adult Community Education (ACE) Grants Program

The ACT ACE Grants Program provides funding for the delivery of quality foundation skills training in accessible and inclusive community settings, to support Canberrans experiencing barriers to learning, training and work.

Adult community education plays a critical and unique role alongside Canberra’s vocational education and training sector.

The ACT ACE Grants Program has been in operation since 1998. This demonstrates the ACT Government’s ongoing commitment to working collaboratively with not-for-profit community organisations and registered training organisations to maximise positive outcomes from the ACE sector in the ACT.

The ACT ACE Grants Program supports the delivery of accredited and non-accredited foundation skills learning activities. These activities enable participants ― aged 17 years or older ― to engage in informal learning that makes formal training possible and future employment more likely.

The 2025-27 ACT ACE Grants Program is a joint initiative between the Commonwealth and ACT Government under the National Skills Agreement Special Policy Initiative- Ensuring Access to Foundation Skills Training.

Six projects have been funded through the 2025-27 ACT ACE Grants Program.

Please contact funded organisations for information on enrolment and individual program eligibility.
