To apply for a grant:
- read the 2022-23 ACE JobTrainer Grants Program Guidelines (DOCX 646KB) or (PDF 536KB)
- complete the online application form at SmartyGrants
- complete the Project Plan Template (DOCX 532KB) and attach it to your online application.
Applications close at 5:00pm, on 21 September 2022.
About the 2022-23 Adult Community Education (ACE) JobTrainer grants program
This new program is designed to provide financial assistance to eligible organisations to support Canberrans aged 17 years or older experiencing barriers to learning, training and work. The program will support Canberrans to develop and use the foundation skills required to effectively participate in the labour market and contribute to Canberra’s economic future.
In 2022-23, the total budget for the ACE JobTrainer grants program is $500,000. Eligible organisations can apply for grants of up to $100,000 per project.
Applicant organisations can propose to subcontract one or more components of their project to for-profit or not-for-profit organisations, including registered training organisations.
JobTrainer is jointly funded by the Australian and ACT Governments.

Please note ACE JobTrainer projects must be designed for participants who are aged 17 years or older and not enrolled in or attending a school, college or another program leading to the completion of year 12. Organisations delivering ACE JobTrainer projects must have its principal place of business in the ACT and ACE JobTrainer projects must be delivered within the ACT. ACE JobTrainer participants must be Canberrans (residents of the ACT).
