Year 7 Health Survey
The Year 7 Health Survey (Y7HS) is a health and wellbeing survey of Year 7 students in the ACT. Data is collected each year during Term 3.
Students are asked questions about:
- Healthy eating
- Family mealtimes
- Physical activity
- Screen time and other sedentary activities
- Sleep habits
- Emotional wellbeing
In public schools, the survey is run alongside the annual School Satisfaction and Climate Survey. Students and schools can opt out of the survey.
For non-government schools we give a survey link to students via a letter to parents.
The results of the Year 7 Survey are reported at a population level.
These findings help us to:
- respond to emerging health issues and
- guide the delivery of future programs and services for the ACT.
The results of previous surveys are available below.
