Majura Primary School modernisation

Funding: $20.45 million

The ACT Government is modernising Majura Primary School to provide quality primary education close to home.

Current updates

• Projex Building Group has been appointed to deliver the new larger library, re-purpose the existing library to support the school’s staff and administration functions and improve learning spaces.
• Planning is underway for bathroom upgrades and targeted heating, ventilation, cooling upgrades. Works will be delivered in stages.

Overview

Majura Primary School has been part of the community since 1963. Modernisation works will help ensure students can continue to access high-quality education close to home, with modern facilities that support teaching, learning and wellbeing.

The range of upgrades will be delivered in stages. Learning will continue onsite as usual during construction.

• Refurbishment of the existing library to support staff and administration needs
• Bathroom improvements and access upgrades
• Heating, ventilation and cooling upgrades
• Targeted perimeter fencing

Community engagement

• The 2025 community consultation process to identify priorities for the school modernisation is now complete.
