ACT Chief Minister's Export Awards
The ACT Chief Minister’s Export award celebrates the achievements of the ACT’s exporters.
Winners of the ACT Chief Minister's Export Awards progress as national finalists to Austrade’s National Export Awards, where they compete against their peers from across Australia.
Who can apply
To apply you must be an ACT enterprise (business or company) that currently exports.

Award categories
There are 13 award categories.
Businesses can apply in one or more of the following categories:
Sector categories (9)
- Agribusiness, Food and Beverages
- Creative, Lifestyle and Design
- Digital and Smart Technologies
- International Education and Training
- International Health
- Manufacturing and Advanced Materials
- Professional Services
- Resources and Energy
- Sustainability and Green Economy
Cross‑cutting categories (4)
- Emerging Exporter
- First Nations Exporter
- Regional Exporter
- Small Business
Two ACT specific awards will also be presented in 2026:
- ACT Exporter of the Year
- ACT Promising Exporter

How to apply
Applications are open now and close 12 June 2026.
Applications are made through the online portal on the National Export Awards website.
Before you apply:
- read the application guidance and tips
- prepare your application including any supporting documents
- submit your application through the online portal.
If you need help with your application, contact the Export Council of Australia.
They can:
- guide you through the application process
- assist you with preparation of your application or provide feedback on your draft application
- guide you through the submission process.

Applications are assessed based on judging criteria.
