The ACT Honour Walk recognises the people who have helped to shape the city of Canberra as we know it today.
The next induction for the ACT Honour Walk will be in 2025.
Who you can nominate
You can nominate any group or person who has:
- helped shape the city of Canberra
- made a lasting contribution to the community.
Nominees do not have to live in the ACT. The honour may be awarded posthumously.
Previous recipients have been recognised for their contributions to:
- community service, sport, culture or the arts
- justice, research or education
- military
- business.
How to nominate
To nominate online:
- Include the nominee's personal details.
- Summarise their contribution to the ACT.
- Include details of a living next of kin, if known.
- Include contact details for at least 2 referees.
Past recipients
Recipients are acknowledged with a plaque in their honour on the ACT Honour Walk. This is located in Ainslie Place between London Circuit and the Canberra Times Fountain outside the Canberra Centre.
