An ACT Government Website

Community bus services are for ACT residents who find it hard to use other forms of transport.

They run from Monday to Friday.

They have flexible routes. You agree to pick up and drop off points that suit you when you book.

Who can use the community bus

The community bus is for people who are:

  • older with mobility or confidence problems
  • living in nursing homes or retirement facilities
  • permanently or temporarily disabled
  • unable to use regular bus services because of health problems
  • socially isolated parents with young children who lack transport options
  • from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds who lack support networks and have limited transport options.

Check if you can use the community bus

ACT’s regional community services run the community bus services.

Contact the regional community service closest to you.

They will let you know if you can register to use the bus.

They will tell you any costs and how to make a booking and answer any questions you have.
