After a disaster, the ACT Government may offer supports and services to help the community recover.
The Disaster Assistance Guidelines list the types of support the government may offer. Pre-planning these supports allows us to activate them quicker.
Each disaster causes unique community needs that we can’t anticipate before the event. The community recovers best when we take a targeted approach and match needs with supports. The guidelines are a list of possible options. We may create extra supports if needed.
