An ACT Government Website

Summary

The social, environmental and economic damage caused by pest animals in the ACT requires ongoing management and the provision of significant financial and human resources by the ACT and Australian Governments, rural landholders and community groups across conservation, rural and urban land uses.

The ACT Pest Animal Management Strategy 2012-2022 has been developed to support all stakeholders with responsibility for, or interest in, managing pest animals in the ACT.

Part 1 of the strategy focuses on the key principles, objectives and strategic actions for reducing the damage caused by pest animals and is consistent with the Australian Pest Animal Strategy 2007.

Part 2 addresses the rationale for the strategy, key pest management issues for the ACT and implementation of the strategy. It also provides a source of readily accessible information on pest animal management for ACT land managers and community groups.
