An ACT Government Website

Summary

Our Digital Health Strategy 2019–29 guides the design and development of digital health. It supports delivering safe and high-quality care for individuals.

The strategy outlines the direction for the ACT public health system in building the digital capabilities. This supports a sustainable, innovative and world-class health system for our region.

The strategy also shows a vision for the future of digital health in the ACT.

The strategy is built on these 3 themes:

  • patient-centred — information about a patient including care plan, progress, therapies and medications relevant to the patient’s physical health    and overall wellbeing
  • research, discovery and collaboration — we enable collaboration for stakeholders across the care lifecycle to focus on patient care
  • health services driven by up-to-date technology — providing a secure, current, consistent and accessible system across services.

To meet future demands, we use technology to be more efficient and invest in systems.
