Gas transition survey
Summary
The Gas transition survey asked the community about their views on transitioning from gas to electricity in the home.
Almost 1,900 YourSay Panel members took part in a survey from 3 to 8 February 2021.
The ACT Government was seeking to understand:
- how energy was being used in the home
- whether Canberrans had switched, or were considering switching, from gas to electric appliances and systems
- what barriers were and what could encourage people to transition from gas to electricity.
The Gas Transition Steering Committee and Government Cabinet Subcommittee used the results to help develop a Gas Transition Plan for the ACT.
