T2030 ACT Tourism Strategy
Summary
The T2030 ACT Tourism Strategy sets out the ACT's plan to grow a thriving, sustainable and resilient visitor economy that delivers economic and community benefits for Canberrans.
The strategy outlines the targets, priority areas and actions needed to increase visitation and visitor expenditure, strengthen Canberra’s position as a compelling destination, and support long-term industry growth.
To achieve its growth ambitions, VisitCanberra will work with industry to drive visitation and visitor spending through four key economic growth drivers:
- Increase domestic visitation and spend
- Grow visitation generated by events
- Make it easier and more affordable to visit
- Realise Canberra’s potential with international visitors
Together, these growth drivers will support increased visitor demand, stronger industry capability, and a more competitive tourism economy for Canberra through to 2030.
