Voluntary assisted dying survey
Summary
The Voluntary assisted dying survey looked at preferences for staying informed and engaged on the design and introduction of a voluntary assisted dying model in the ACT.
Nearly 3,000 YourSay Panel members took part in the survey between 7 and 21 February 2023.
Findings from the survey showed:
- high levels of awareness of and interest in learning more about plans for voluntary assisted dying in the ACT
- a desire to find out more about eligibility criteria, processes and safeguards.
We will use the results to help us communicate with and engage the community on this topic as the ACT Government develops a voluntary assisted dying model in the ACT.
