To get a child's development checked, fill in the online form or call us.
You, or anyone who has your permission, can refer your child to the Child Development Service.
This might include:
- early childhood educators
- teachers
- doctors
- paediatricians
- nurses
- case workers.

After we get a referral
We will contact the person who referred your child to discuss their concerns.
We might:
- ask you to attend a drop-in clinic to see a speech pathologist, occupational therapist or physiotherapist
- tell you about other related services
- give you information about how to see a private therapist in the ACT.
