ACT Office for Seniors

We manage ACT Government policy on issues affecting older people. Learn about our services and how to contact us.

What we do

Older people are one of the fastest growing populations in the ACT. We work to make sure they are recognised as valued members of our community and can lead productive and active lives as they age. Some of our areas of focus include:

  • raising awareness of and preventing ageism and abuse of older people
  • ensuring older people are empowered and have a voice in decisions affecting them
  • making sure our services are accessible for all older people.

Our services

ACT Seniors Card: a range of discounts and concessions for government services including public transport, pet and car registration, and with private businesses.
