Before your placement

You must provide a copy your certificate to your education provider placement coordinator well in advance of your clinical placement date.

If you have a criminal record

If you have a positive police check, you must complete an authorisation to investigate form with a copy of your positive police check to your education provider placement coordinator well in advance of your clinical placement date.

Your education provider will forward to either the Clinical Placement Office Manager, or the Clinical Placement Allied Health Placement officer.

Clearance for placement will be decided by ACT Health's People and Culture Branch, who will review whether a student with a criminal record is accepted for clinical placement.

If your placement is not affiliated with an educator provider, you should submit the information directly to the Clinical Placement Office.
