Children aged 6 months to under 5 years

People aged 6 months and older with a medical condition that increases risk of influenza complications

Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples aged 6 months and older

Anyone pregnant

  • General practitioners (GP) – funded vaccine, but you may be charged a consultation fee
  • Health and Community Services Antenatal Clinics – funded vaccine
  • Winnunga Nimmityjah Aboriginal Health Service – funded vaccine
  • Pharmacies – government funded vaccine at participating pharmacies, but you may be charged a consultation fee
  • Private antenatal providers – funded vaccine, but you may be charged a consultation fee

People aged 65 years and older

  • General practitioners (GP) – funded vaccine, but you may be charged a consultation fee
  • Pharmacies – funded vaccine at participating pharmacies, but you may be charged a consultation fee
  • Winnunga Nimmityjah Aboriginal Health Service – funded vaccine

People living in residential aged care homes

  • Residential aged care homes are required to offer influenza vaccination to all residents and staff
  • GPs and pharmacists may visit residential aged care homes to provide residents with influenza and COVID-19 immunisation
  • Check with the residential aged care home about their program

Anyone aged 5 years to 64 years not eligible for funded vaccine

  • General practitioners (GP) – the vaccine is not funded, and you may be charged a consultation fee
  • Participating pharmacies – the vaccine is not funded, and you may be charged a consultation fee
