Government Response to Standing Committee Report on Crimes (Consent) Amendment Bill 2018

Cabinet agreed to the ACT Government response to the Standing Committee on Justice and Community Safety Report on the Inquiry into the Crimes (Consent) Amendment Bill 2018. The Government response supports the need to consider changes to ACT sexual consent laws in order to improve criminal justice outcomes for people who experience sexual assault, and supports the importance of promoting positive social and cultural understandings of consent to help ensure safe and respectful relationships in the ACT community.
Endorsement of the Submission of the ACT’s Water Resource Plan to the Murray-Darling Basin Authority for assessment and accreditation

Royal Commission Criminal Justice Legislation Amendment Bill 2019

The Bill implements a number of reforms arising from the Royal Commission into Institutional Responses to Child Sexual Abuse.The Triple Bottom Line Assessment was considered by Cabinet on 19 December 2018 (18/695/CAB - Royal Commission Criminal Justice Legislation Amendment Bill 2019- Policy Approval) as part of the policy approval.
