Cabinet agreed the Attorney-General present the Crimes Legislation Amendment Bill 2020 in the Legislative Assembly. The Bill contains minor amendments to:
- improve the efficacy of sentencing legislation;
- improve the clarity of provisions relating to the treatment of unexplained wealth;
- clarify the timeframe for lodging appeals in the Magistrates Court; and
- correct a drafting anomaly in the Criminal Code.
