Statute Law Amendment Bill 2021

Cabinet agreed the Attorney-General present the Statute Law Amendment Bill 2021 in the Legislative Assembly. The Bill has been prepared in accordance with the technical amendments program for non-controversial, minor, and technical amendments of ACT legislation. The Bill includes minor amendments to the following legislation:

  • the Controlled Sports Act 2019;
  • the Mental Health Act 2015;
  • the Public Sector Management Act 1994; and
  • the Workers Compensation Act 1951.

Acton Waterfront – Future Development Options

National Partnership Agreement on Universal Access to Early Childhood Education – extension 2021

Cabinet agreed to the replacement and extension of the existing National Partnership Agreement on Universal Access to Early Childhood Education (NP UAECE) for 2018-2021. The Commonwealth Government will provide a financial contribution of $9.5 million to the ACT, for service delivery from 1 January 2021 to 31 December 2021, to facilitate children’s early learning and development by maintaining universal access to, and improving participation in, affordable, quality early childhood education programs for all children.
