Integrated Plan for Red Hill Nature Reserve and Surrounds – Petitions 24-21 and 29-21

Cabinet agreed the Minister for Planning and Land Management provide the Government response to petitions 24–21 and 29-21 – Integrated Plan for Red Hill Nature Reserve and Surrounds to the Clerk of the ACT Legislative Assembly.

Combined Pass to introduce Road Transport Legislation Amendment Bill 2021 (No 2) and proposed changes to the Veteran, Vintage and Historic Vehicle Conditional Registration Scheme

Cabinet agreed the Minister for Transport and City Services introduce the Road Transport Legislation Amendment Bill 2021 (No 2) in the ACT Legislative Assembly to make amendments to improve road safety, and the administration and efficiency of road transport legislation. Cabinet agreed to changes to the Veteran, Vintage and Historic Vehicle Conditional Registration Scheme.
Government Amendment (JACS Bill) – Amendment to Defence of Mental Impairment

Cabinet agreed the Attorney-General table a Government amendment to the Justice and Community Safety Legislation Amendment Bill 2021, in the ACT Legislative Assembly, to clarify an ambiguity in the Criminal Code 2002 affecting the defence of mental impairment.
Rapid Antigen Testing – Alexander Maconochie Centre and school pilots

The Security and Emergency Management Committee of Cabinet agreed to pilot rapid antigen tests (RATs) for the Alexander Maconochie Centre.
A Triple Bottom Line Assessment was not prepared for this item given the time imperatives of the COVID-19 pandemic.
