Cabinet noted the recommendations from the Secure Local Jobs Code Advisory Council’s review of the operation of the Secure Local Jobs Code and agreed in principle to adopt the review recommendations.
Development of an Air Quality Strategy

Cabinet agreed to the development of a strategy responding to smoke and air quality events in the ACT.

Utilities Amendment Bill 2021
Minute number: 21/152/CAB
Cabinet agreed the Minister for Water, Energy and Emission Reductions present the Utilities Amendment Bill 2021 in the Legislative Assembly. The Bill will introduce an electricity reference price framework in the ACT to improve the transparency and comparability of electricity offers in the Territory.
Government Submission to the Standing Committee on Justice and Community Safety Inquiry into the 2020 ACT Election and Electoral Act

Cabinet agreed to the Government Submission to the Standing Committee on Justice and Community Safety Inquiry into the 2020 ACT Election and Electoral Act.
A Triple Bottom Line Assessment was undertaken and it was determined there was nil impact on all categories.
Accessibility standards for housing in the National Construction Code
Minute number: 21/176/CAB
Cabinet considered the Decision Regulatory Impact Statement prepared by the Australian Building Codes Board for the inclusion of accessibility standards in the National Construction Code and agreed an ACT position taking into account the need to increase the supply of accessible housing, the costs and benefits of the proposal and existing ACT Government commitment to require a proportion of new residential properties in the ACT be built to meet Universal Design standards.
