ACT’s COVID-19 Public Health Response into the Future

Cabinet agreed to proposed changes to the COVID-19 Public Health Response, including Test, Trace, Isolate and Quarantine requirements for implementation from 11:59pm on 5 January 2022.
A Wellbeing Impact Assessment was not prepared for this item given the time imperatives of the COVID-19 pandemic response and the transition to the new WIA arrangements.
COVID-19 – Provision of accessible information to vulnerable communities

Cabinet agreed to provide funding of up to $150,000 to deliver accessible COVID-19 information to vulnerable communities in 2021-22. This funding will provide updated information through appropriate community sector channels to help ensure vulnerable communities in Canberra are made aware of the fast-changing requirements and responsibilities.
This proposal will provide support the wellbeing domain of Health as it will allow the provision of targeted and up to date COVID-19 health information to identified cohorts within this community. Furthermore, the wellbeing domain of Access and Connectivity will also be met as the proposal will help ensure vulnerable Canberrans have access to this information and are able to relevant connect with services and supports.
ACT’s COVID-19 Vaccination Clinic - Booster Surge Options

Cabinet agreed to vaccine booster surge options.
The proposal supports the health of all Canberrans. Specifically, it supports progress against the Access to Health Services and Health Lifestyle wellbeing indicators.
