ACT Climate Change Risk Assessment

Cabinet agreed to publish the Climate Change Risk Assessment Summary.

The Environment and Climate domain is the most closely related wellbeing indicator to the purpose of the ACT Climate Change Risk Assessment, as it seeks to develop Government’s understanding of climate risks and building adaptation measures for ACT Government services, assets and operations. The Climate Change Risk Assessment also supports the Governance and Institutions domain.

Professional Engineer Registration Bill 2022 - Policy Approval

Cabinet agreed to the development of legislation that will establish a regulatory framework requiring certain professional engineers to be registered to provide services in the ACT, and to undertake stakeholder consultation.

The introduction of an ACT engineer registration scheme will have impacts across the economy, safety and health domains through setting of minimum qualifications, experience and competency for professional engineers and avoiding impacts of work undertaken by individuals without the appropriate qualifications.
