Overview

The ACT Government is building a new community centre in Gungahlin. The centre will provide flexible spaces for activities, meetings, and events.

The centre is located near the Gungahlin light rail stop and bus interchange. This location makes it easy for people across the district to access the facility.

The project responds to the needs of Gungahlin’s growing population. It will provide modern spaces where people can meet, learn, and take part in community programs.

The centre includes flexible, purpose-built spaces to suit both small groups and larger organisations. These include:

  • Office spaces and consultation or meeting rooms: private offices with 1-3 desks suitable for teams or service delivery.
  • Coworking desks: single desks in a bright and elevated setting for flexible working arrangements.
  • Dry arts and wet arts studios: ideal for pottery, craft, and creative programs.
  • Gallery room: a dedicated exhibition space to display art, run community showcases, or present end of term work.
  • Dance studio: a versatile space featuring compliant timber flooring, mirrors, suitable for dance, movement, or theatre rehearsals.
  • Multipurpose spaces: large, versatile venues for conferences with separate break-out spaces.
