The CIT Woden Campus Project is a major ACT Government investment that combines four components:
- CIT Woden Campus
- Woden Youth Foyer
- Woden Interchange
- CIT Yurauna
This investment will boost ACT’s economy, expand education and training opportunities, improve public transport and create more connected, vibrant communities.
Current updates
- The CIT Woden Campus and Youth Foyer were completed in July 2025. CIT Woden opened to students and staff for the start of Semester 2, 2025.
- Construction of the new Woden Interchange is underway and due for completion before the end of Q1 2026.
- CIT Yurauna is moving to a purpose-built centre at CIT Bruce Campus, which is expected to be completed in late 2025.
Overview
CIT Woden is a state-of-the-art vocational education and training facility offering hands-on training in industries including IT, cyber security, business and hospitality.
Key features include:
- smart teaching areas and digital learning tools
- sustainable building design
- spaces for industry connections
- a CIT-operated shop, restaurant and hair and beauty salon to train students while serving the community
- landscaped green spaces that create a vibrant town centre.
The campus can accommodate up to 6,500 students each year.

Woden Youth Foyer
The Youth Foyer provides stable housing for 16-24 year olds students at risk of homelessness.
Key features include:
- 20 self-contained accommodation units
- on-site mentoring and life skills support
- located close to education and training facilities while building independence.
Woden Interchange
The new interchange is located next to CIT Woden Campus. Once complete, it will be used by buses now and be ready for future light rail from the City to Woden.
Key features include:
- more bus stops
- modern shelters, better lighting and signage
- bike storage facilities and public toilets

CIT Yurauna
Yurauna is CIT's dedicated Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Educational Centre of Excellence
It will relocate to a new purpose-built centre at CIT Bruce, expected to be complete by the end of 2025.
The new Yurauna will support education and training while celebrating and preserving culture.
Key features include:
- culturally tailored courses
- study support and childcare
- community meeting spaces and art rooms.
