You may need this licence to obtain, possess and sell a dangerous poison by purchase order.

As a dangerous poisons suppliers licence holder you can:

  • issue a purchase order for a licenced dangerous poison
  • obtain a licenced dangerous poison on a purchase order for sale from the licenced premises
  • possess a licenced dangerous poison for sale from the licenced premises
  • sell a licenced dangerous poison on a purchase order to:
    • a person authorised to issue a purchase order for a dangerous poison
    • someone in another state who may obtain a dangerous poison under the law of that state
    • someone in another country who may lawfully obtain a dangerous poison in that country (unless a prohibited export under the Customs Act).

Before completing the Medicines Poisons Therapeutic Goods Licence application form, you are urged to read the Medicines, Poisons and Therapeutic Goods Act 2008 and Medicines, Poisons and Therapeutic Goods Regulation 2008 to ensure full compliance.

If you do not comply with ACT legislation, you may be subject to prosecution.
