What you can ask about
You can ask about anything you have noticed. For example:
- how your child is talking, playing, moving or learning
- behaviour you might be worried about or are finding hard to manage
- whether what you are seeing is typical for your child's age
- how to get your child's development checked
- what support is available, and what it costs.
You do not have to know what kind of help you want. A Child and Family Practitioner will talk it through with you.
You do not need a diagnosis or a referral
You do not need a diagnosis to get help. You also do not need to have used a service before.
A Child and Family Practitioner will talk with you about what you have noticed and what might help. If your child needs a service or assessment, they will help you get to it.
